Alex: Hello and welcome. I'm Alex, an English language teacher with over nine years of experience, currently living in China and shaping the minds of four-year-olds in a kindergarten setting. My journey into language teaching was accidental – a Geological Engineer from Russia who stumbled into a classroom and discovered a passion. My own path to English proficiency was marked by the same struggles many students face: years of test-based, grammar-heavy education that left me unable to form a simple sentence when it mattered most. This experience directly shapes my teaching philosophy. I believe that true language acquisition flourishes not in an environment of fear and perfection, but in one of safety, communication, and fun. I believe that language is a tool for human connection, not a set of rules to be memorized. My goal is to understand how we can best empower students to become confident, effective communicators in the multilingual world. Hope you’ll be joining me in this conversation.
